  • Ms Fiona Rimmer - BEd Hons, NPQH, PGCert (Spld), Principal

    Fiona has led four Primary schools as Headteacher, giving her the opportunity to develop her leadership skills, enabling her to improve schools and develop good to outstanding practice. Her training specialised in Early Years and Music but she has taught across the age ranges including a year in a secondary school. Fiona gained further qualifications in Leadership and Special Educational Needs, which she is passionate about. Outside school she enjoys singing, playing the piano, photography and cooking.

  • Mr. Richard Clark - BSc Hons, PGCE, NPQSL, Vice Principal/Hawthorn & Oak Teacher

    Richard has taught in a number of schools across Cheshire. He has held senior leadership roles in two schools and has been actively involved in driving school improvement. He has a wealth of experience mentoring teachers and is a professional mentor for Chester University. Prior to teaching Richard worked as a Project Engineer in the food industry. He enjoys sport and is a keen runner.

  • Mrs Charlotte Alford, Head of Infants/SENDCO

    Charlotte Alford is an experienced teacher and Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator having taught for 13 years in a primary school on the Wirral. Charlotte graduated from the University of Chester in 2001 after completing a 4 year Bachelor of Education (Hons) with Geography and a focus on Early Years (3-8 years). Charlotte has completed a variety of further qualifications to enhance her role as SENCO. Charlotte is the Preschool teacher. Outside of school, Charlotte enjoys spending time with her family, running, horse riding, reading and baking.

  • Mrs Natasha Ogden, Nursery Leader/Teacher

    Tash is an experienced Nursery leader and has worked in the school for several years. She qualified in Early Years at Manchester Metropolitan University. Outside school she enjoys spending time outdoors, time with her family, gardening and photography.

  • Mrs Trisha Woodall, Teaching Assistant/Key Worker

    Trisha is an experienced teaching assistant who has worked at the school for many years. She specialises in working with our younger children and used to run her own pre-school. Outside school her interests are baking and reading. In the past she has led various scout/cub groups.

  • Miss Imogen Moffatt, Juniper Class Teacher

    Imogen grew up in the Lake District and enjoys visiting her family there. She studied for 4 years at the University of Chester for her BEd Hons degree, specialising in Early Years. She has a passion for Early Years Education. She has lived and worked in Manchester for 2 years in a Reception class and has recently moved back to Chester. Outside school she enjoys travelling and visiting new places with friends and family. In her spare time she enjoys swimming and in the past represented the North of England and Cumbria in swimming competitions.

  • Mrs Becky Turner, Higher Level Teaching Assistant/Key Worker

    Becky is an experienced member of our team who has spent the last few years working with the younger age children in a number of settings. She also supports Juniper class in the mornings. She has completed a number of qualifications over recent years including the Higher Level Teaching Assistant Qualification. Outside school Becky enjoys spending time with her family and taking her dog for long walks in the countryside and on the beach.

  • Miss Katherine Brittleton, Early Years Teaching Assistant

    Katherine completed her LLB law degree at Bangor University. Since then she has been working with Stagecoach Performing Arts as well as volunteering with the local girl guides. Outside school she enjoys spending time with family, country walks and regular visits to Chester Zoo.

  • Miss Charlie Griffin, Cedar Class Teacher

    Charlie completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Education at the University of Chester, specialising in PE. Previously she gained a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in International Development Studies and Natural Hazards Management at the University of Chester. She is an experienced Level 2 rugby sports coach. Sport is her main passion along with travelling.

  • Mrs Gillian Oakes, Teaching Assistant

    Gill is a qualified teacher who has taken time away from work to bring up her family. She has now returned to school and is supporting one of our children in the Pre-school. Outside school she enjoys spending time with her family, eating out and visiting new places.

  • Mrs Nadine Hankey, Teaching Assistant

    Nadine has worked at the school for several years as a teaching assistant. In the past she lived in France and led the teaching of French across the school. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her dogs, walking in Scotland and fishing.

  • Miss Kerry Dunmore, Maple Class Teacher

    Kerry completed a BSc Hons degree in Forensic and Crime Scene Science at Bournemouth University and then completed a PGCE in Primary teaching at Chester University. She has taught across both key stages but has joined us as our Year 2 teacher. Outside school Kerry enjoys rowing, crochet, reading and outdoor activities.

  • Mrs Liana Atherton, Maple class teacher

    Liana completed a BA Hons degree in Dance Performance at Middlesex University and then completed a PGCE in Primary teaching at Chester University. Liana has taught across all age ranges and has also been a lead in an enhanced resource base. Outside school she enjoys all aspects of the creative arts, visiting theatres with her young family.

  • Mrs Louise Humphreys, Teaching Assistant

    Louise has worked as a teaching assistant at the school for several years, mainly supporting those with Additional /Special Educational Needs. Outside school she enjoys singing with a local choir, visiting the theatre and attending concerts.

  • Mrs Jo Jones, Teaching Assistant

    Jo has worked in our Nursery for several years and has since moved to Key Stage 1. She enjoys spending time with her family, gardening and watching motor sports as well as driving her Volkswagen Beetle.

  • Miss Nadia Notarpippo, Willow Class Teacher

    Nadia completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Primary Education, having had placements across both Key Stage One and Key Stage Two. Previous to that, she completed a three year Bachelor of Arts (with Hons) degree in Art and Archeology of the Ancient World. She has also worked in South Korea teaching English as a foreign language. In her spare time Nadia enjoys photography, knitting, crocheting and painting.

  • Miss Karen Woodall, Teaching Assistant

    Karen has worked at the school for several years, mainly in the Nursery department but more recently supporting a child in the Juniors. Outside school, she enjoys spending time with her family and keeping fit.

  • Miss Amy Burke, Sycamore Class Teacher

    Amy completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Primary Education, having had placements across both Key Stage One and Key Stage Two. Previous to that, she completed a three year Bachelor of Arts (with Hons) degree in Criminology. She has also worked as a trainer and facilitator for Marks and Spencers. Amy enjoys playing the piano and playing badminton in her spare time.

  • Mr David McKenzie Owens, Teaching Assistant

    David completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Primary Education at John Moores University, having had placements across both Key Stage One and Key Stage Two, following his degree (BSc Hons) in Business Management. Outside school David is interested in sports and particularly enjoys playing football and golf.

  • Miss Amy Richardson, Hawthorn Class Teacher

    Amy completed a Post Graduate Certificate of Education in Primary Education and has taught a wide range of ages and abilities. She has previously completed a Bachelor of Science degree and currently works in Hawthorn and Oak Classes as well as being our Science Co-ordinator and Designated Safeguarding lead. Amy is a level one swimming teacher and has coached football at county level and internationally. She has previously played football at county level as well as for Swansea City Ladies FC. She is a keen dog show exhibitor and judge, competing at shows nationally with breed champions and CRUFTS winners.

  • Miss Rachel Norris, Oak Class Teacher

    Rachel completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Primary Education, having had placements across both Key Stage One and Key Stage Two. Previous to that, she completed a three year Bachelor of Science (with Hons) degree in Psychology. She has also worked in the merchant navy for several years, but is now our Hawthorn class teacher. Rachel enjoys hill walking and painting and drawing to fulfil her creative ambitions.

  • Mrs Hayley Tench, Resource Provision Leader/Teaching Assistant

    Hayley is a qualified teacher who has lived in Australia for a few years. Since returning to the UK, she has worked in a Pupil Referral Unit and now runs our Resource Provision, supporting some of our children. In her spare time she enjoys travelling.

  • Mrs Anna Millington, Teacher

    Anna completed a degree in Sociology and a PGCE in Early Years Education at Manchester Metropolitan University. Before she began her teaching career, she was an air hostess. She has worked at the school for several years, mainly in the Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1. She now supports groups of children with mathematics and covers classes to allow for Planning, preparation and assessment time. Outside school she enjoys spending time with her family, eating out and travelling.

  • Mrs Stacey Leader, Teacher

    Stacey completed her degree in Pyschology and Counselling, followed by a PGCE at Chester University. She enjoys working with our older children and works in Oak class two afternoons/week and teaches in two other classes to allow for planning, preparationg and assessment time. Outside school she enjoys eating out and spending time with her family.

  • Mrs Jo Maddock, School Business Manager

    Jo is a qualified school business manager, having gained her qualification through the National College of School Leaders. She has worked in a number of schools including a high school. In her spare time she enjoys walking her dog, travelling and going out for meals.

  • Mrs Annette Butterfield, Clerical Officer

    Annette is a qualified personal assistant (PA), having gained her qualifications over several years. She is a medallist for her shorthand typing, coming 1st in the country at the time. She has worked in the research and development department at ICI for senior researchers and professors and in two primary schools. In her spare time she enjoys walking, cycling and spending time with her grandchildren.

  • Mrs Alison Bygrave, Admin Assistant

    Alison is a qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant and has previously worked in retail banking as well as many office roles. Alison really enjoys working with people. Outside school Alison is very involved in her local church, has her own pony and enjoys mountain walking.

  • Mr Pete Smith, Site Maintenance Officer

    Before working at Oak View Academy, Pete had a variety of jobs from being in the army, being a prison officer to working as a print manager for a national newspaper. Pete has worked at the school for several years and enjoys the challenge of refurbishing the site. In his spare time, he enjoys gardening, walking his dog, DIY and socialising with friends.

  • Mrs Jo Price, Inclusion Manager

    Jo is an experienced teacher, having taught in both mainstream and special needs settings, covering KS1-KS3 (5-14 years) and in senior management positions. Jo is currently supporting Oak View Academy with Safeguarding and Special Educational Needs.

  • Mrs Lia Roberts, Counsellor

    Lia is an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and holds and Masters Degree in Integrative Counselling. She has been running counselling services in primary and secondary school settings since 2003 working in settings such as the NSPCC; the YMCA; University of Leeds and Barnsley Academy.

    Lia works on a Friday morning each week and is available at break times for the children to have drop-in sessions.

  • Miss Steph Cummins, Speech and Language Therapist

    Steph works for Jane Mullen Speech Therapy Ltd and carries out our assessments in school. Steph is in school 1 day/week working with individuals and groups of children.

  • Ms Liz Collenso, Speech and Language Practitioner

    Liz works for Jane Mullen Speech Therapy Ltd and works in school four days a week with individuals and groups of children. She works alongside Steph, implementing personal development plans where needed.
