What a fantastic week! In English we have investigated the basic Human Rights and begun to write a letter to an influential person who could help us to ensure that the rights are being ensured to all.
In maths we have been investigating angles within shapes and lines. We have got those dreaded protractors out once again and even begun drawing shapes accurately using those tools. We have also learnt the name of parts of a circle and used our knowledge of a radius and diameter to solve problems.
In topic we have looked at Sarah Shiundu’s work and begun to experiment with a variety of ways to make an African sunset, using pencils, crayons, oil pastels and even paints. We will form an opinion on these and then use this to decide which tools we will use during our final piece. We have also learnt about the various geographical areas of interest within Africa.
