Tough Tigers and Wonderful Warriors.
This week has been a fun one in Cedar class! In English we have been using actions to retell our information text about tigers. The children have enjoyed thinking of words to describe tigers and learning the meaning of new words such as ‘carnivore’ and ‘prey’ and using these in sentences.
In Maths we have been working out addition and subtraction problems practically and using number lines to jump on and back.
In the afternoon Cedar class have been enjoying different teacher-led activities such as ‘book talk’, dough gym and ‘warrior writing’. The children have had great fun in ‘warrior training’, using swords and wands to practise vital gross motor skills and letter formation…all to a disco version of the star wars theme!
On Friday we continued with making our fruits and vegetables for our Harvest performance. The children have done a fantastic job!
