Miss Leonard and I were very much looking forward to aspirations week this week. Children can have a limited knowledge of the world of work and money and it is an especially good time to introduce this in Year 3 where the children are growing fast! Willow Class did a wonderful job of coming dressed up today. We had lots of creative roles – artists, hairdressers, builders and DJs to name a few! We looked up how much they could earn in their prospective roles and the children were surprised to learn of the costs of some things we need to earn money for. It was an important opportunity for Willow Class to see the importance of learning and how learning can lead to jobs, apprenticeships or even further education!
