Whitby's Lane, Winsford, CW7 2LZ

Although it was quite a miserable and rainy week this week, Willow Class have shown some lovely enthusiasm for learning! For English they enjoyed researching facts about foxes on the ipads and we began writing our persuasive letters! In Maths all children have shown super understanding of adding and subtracting fractions – however we are finding equivalent fractions a little tricky so we are going to work on this all next week.

In the afternoons they have enjoyed learning about features of a river through song and poetry and we have begun our final art piece based on The Great Wave by Hokusai, using collage! They learn the skills of ripping paper into small pieces and using layers of PVA glue to make sure their pieces are stuck down well. Already, I can see wonderful pieces of

artwork. Well done Willow Class!
