This week, Willow class have been very arty! We have not only finished our Co-operative Food egg box competition but looked at the artist Rennie Mackintosh. We drew an Autumn themed picture in the style of the artist and then created a wax resist painting with watercolours and oil pastels. The children enjoyed this very much!
We have also had the laptops out this week and began researching our local county of Cheshire! We found out what the surrounding counties were and looked at landmarks. Next week, we will type up our research to practise our word-processing skills.
In maths we have begun subtracting starting with a three digit number and ones and we will soon move onto column subtraction. The children have seen the value in using base ten/dienes to help them work out their answers.
In English we have published some of our writing and next week we will move onto our last unit of the half term – all about Autumn!
