A new world of learning!
Wow! Sycamore class have absolutely blown us away this week with their engagement on google classroom. Sycamore have risen to the challenge and persevered with a new way of learning!
This week we have been reading ‘The legend of Spud Murphy’ the children have been looking at how to draw illustrations to represent the characters and writing out short interviews to get the different characters view points. I wonder what will happen to Marty and Will in the final chapters of our story…
In maths we have been looking at dividing 1 and 2 digit numbers by 10 and 100. We’ve been using place value grids to help with our understanding. We have now started to look at decimals in terms of money which I know that the children are enjoying!
In English we have started to plan and begin to write our biography on the amazing Jacques Cousteau. The children have done some amazing research about Jacques and I am very much looking forward to seeing their biographies!
I know that Sycamore class have also been doing activities related to our topic “local land use” at home too!
We are so proud of you Sycamore!
