Little Acorns have been enjoying all things autumnal this week.
We spent some more time outdoors exploring our school grounds collecting beautifully coloured leaves and then using these leaves to create our own bright display on sticky backed boards in our outdoor area.
We played race and roll the pine cones using water pipes and our large wooden planks.
Enjoyed scooping and pouring with dried orange rice in one of our sensory trays and began to paper-mache a balloon in preparation for our little class project to be continued after the half term holiday.
Fine and gross motor skills were put to practice making large circular shapes (pumpkins!) on the chalk board – we even heard some amazing counting! and hammering golf tees into egg boxes.
Our rhyme of the week was ‘Dingle Dangle Scarecrow’ which we will continue to learn during our first week back at school.
Wishing all of our Little Acorns families a happy, healthy and peaceful half term and many thanks for all of your support during these testing times. We all want the very best for your little ones and your understanding and positivity surrounding the necessary changes that have been put into place recently, do not go unappreciated.
Best wishes to all,
