The children have re-told the story of the ‘camera’ and have debated about the decisions of some of the characters from the story.

This week Sycamore class have been reading the story ‘Why the whales came’ by Michael Morpurgo. The book has linked ideas from our English ‘The Whale’ and our science topic ‘Living things and their habitats’. The children have really enjoyed reading extracts from the book throughout the week. The children had the opportunity to create a news report reporting on an event from the story from a character’s point of view.
The children were also very excited to plan their minecraft cities as part of their computing project. The children had to consider what buildings you would need in a city. They are very eager to start constructing their 3D worlds working in small teams which will commence next week.
