Becoming independent learners
Junipers have had a very exciting week with their independent learning. Junipers have really pushed themselves to use their learning environment in the best way possible.
A lot of the children in Juniper class have started to apply their knowledge and use it independently in the areas of the classroom.
Children have been writing their own stories, using their phonic knowledge, creating and solving their own addition problems, practising their phonics and CVC words. I am extremely impressed with the progress Junipers are making and the positive attitude to learning they are showing.
A few children have even come back to school with work they have completed at home with such excitement to share with everyone in Juniper class. This positive attitude and influence is extremely beneficially to the whole class.
Junipers have been enjoying playing teachers during continuous provision, using the RWI materials, coping the actions and vocabulary they see and hear daily from their phonics teachers.
It is fantastic to see such a positive attitude to learning and an excitement towards continuing their own independent learning opportunities.
