Dancing to times tables success
Sycamore Class have had a very exciting week at school. During our wake up, shake up time we have been dancing and singing our 3, 6 and 11 times tables. The children have said that they have really enjoyed this activity and are often singing the songs throughout the day. We are very much looking forward to revisiting the songs next week and testing our knowledge of times tables so far.
Sycamore Class have also been busy in English, innovating our setting description based on our vehicle text “Storm Spotting”. The children have come up with very imaginative ideas, considering how their choice in language can effect the reader. The children have really challenged themselves in using similes and metaphors. The language they have been using in their writing this week has been very impressive.
Sycamore have also been superstars in music this week. The children have been singing Mamma Mia by ABBA. They have been considering pitch, rhythm and performance. Their performance at the end of the lesson on Wednesday was impressive with all children joining in, trying their best and enjoying themselves.
Well done Sycamore for another brilliant week!
