This week Junipers have lots of exciting activities. We have explored the different outdoor areas we have at our school grounds. The children have really enjoyed playing and using different equipment and games. They have played lovely together and helped each other overcome fears. Some children were slightly scared to play on the tyres and balancing beams at first as they had to practise balancing. However, when the other children could see a child was a little nervous they held their friends hand to support them. It has been amazing to see such fantastic team work and care for each other.
We have continued to read the story Juniper Jupiter, focussing on adjectives. We have compared adjectives for fiction superheroes and real-life superheroes such as police officers, doctors, nurses etc. The children noticed how the adjectives were so similar for both fiction superheroes and superheroes that help us every day.
In maths we have been learning all about number 5, exploring different number bonds to 5 and making towers of 5. We have been singing the song ‘5 little men in a flying saucer and making our own flying saucers that add up to 5 aliens.
It has been another fantastic week with lots of hard work and determination. Well done Junipers!
Have a lovely weekend.
