Sycamore class have had a very busy week this week filled with lots of new experiences! The children tried archery. They were really focused and had the challenge of seeing who could get the highest score. The children have also experienced making jewellery out of natural materials.
In English this week we have been looking at the key aspects of an invention narrative. We have planned our own invention narrative as a class. The children have really applied their understanding of including a range of punctuation and vocabulary for effect. Next week the children will be planning and writing their own invention narratives based on the invention created by Jacques Cousteau.
In maths this week Sycamore class have been using dienes to look at the value of tenths and hundredths. The children have been able to recognise equivalent values of any number of tenths and hundredths and represent this through a bar model.
Well done Sycamore for a brilliant second week!
