Wow! What a fantastic first week back for Sycamore class. We have had a fun filled week!

In English this week, we have immersed into our new story. The children had the opportunity explore  lots of items linked to the story. The children had to become detectives for the lesson and use the clues to predict and infer the plot of the story. The children were all excited and were linking the objects to their own experiences.

Furthermore, the class have been using their inference skills in our reading lessons. We have been reading all about the daily encounters of Tuffy the cat in “The diary of a Killer Cat”. The children have been writing a summary of the killer cat’s adventures from the cat’s perspective.

Afternoon fun- during the course of the afternoons we have started to look at our new topic all about the Anglo-Saxons and Scots. The children were given a range of objects from this time. They had to guess what their use was
