This week in Juniper class we have been discussing different emotions from our new story ‘Star in the Jar.’
Throughout the story the little boy explores many different emotions and we have been looking at pages from the book to discuss this. We have been discussing emotions such as exciting, sad, lonely, happy, and confused. The children have enjoyed talking about something that is special to them this week during circle time.
We have been learning all about remembrance day, making our own poppies. We held a 2 minute silence and then shared with the class what each child thought about during that time.
We have been celebrating children in need day talking about this event, watching many different ways people have raised money; bike rides, singing, dancing and playing musical instruments. The children also had a very exciting day having crazy hair to school.
Junipers have worked extremely hard this week in the continuous provision and at home. Lots of children have been acting in a teacher role and have been pretending to teach like Miss Latham; supporting their friends with their phonics, writing and independent skills.
It has been lovely to read such fantastic comments in children’s reading records this week. Keep up your fantastic learning at home!
Well done Junipers! Have a lovely weekend.
