Fancy Dress Fun in Hawthorn!
We enjoyed dressing up for World Book Day on Thursday and the children are looking forward to spending their vouchers on a brand new book!
In English, we have been exploring how to write cohesive paragraphs. The children have investigated how to use semi colons to link related sentences and how to use adverbials of time, place and manner to link ideas throughout paragraph.
In Maths, the children have been applying their knowledge of fractions and decimals, in order to understand percentages. The children have been working out percentages of a given amount.
Hawthorn Class have enjoyed imitating Van Gogh’s post-impressionist style of work. They sketched a landscape of Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes using his techniques to add texture to their landscapes.
