A great week in Hawthorn class!

Welcome back Hawthorn class!

We have had an exciting first week back! Hawthorn have enjoyed starting their new English topic – we are using the short film ‘Dangle’ as a stimulus for writing ‘finding’ stories. In maths, we have been furthering our understanding of fractions by reading and writing them in decimal notation.

I was really impressed by the attitude towards our R.E focus: Hinduism. We explored a range of artefacts (including prayer beads, rake bracelets and coconuts!) and discussed their role within Hinduism. The class had a positive attitude and enjoyed the opportunity to try coconut water!

This week the book of the week award went to Paige and the star of the week was Thomas.

A super start, keep it up!
