Happy, smiling, Little Acorns.
This week saw the return of some of my Little Acorns and it really was a joy to see those happy, smiling faces again. I was especially pleased as the children who have returned should have already left to go to pre school after Easter so I am thrilled that we are getting to spend our last few weeks together.
At first we were a little nervous about coming back into the setting after such a long while away but we all soon quickly settled back in, adapting to the changes to both our classroom and the routine of our sessions.
We enjoyed lots of soapy water play this week where we used nets to fish out foam numbers and numicon. The children quickly realised that the water helped the foam numbers to stick to our chalk board and set about creating a fantastic number display.
We also got creative with junk modeling and paint and picked up right where we left off with our love of books, stories and singing.
The majority of our week was spent outdoors making the most of the fresh air and sunshine.
We have been very grateful and thankful to have Mr Lavin and Gabby in our classroom too ensuring that we are all happy, safe and adjusting to any changes that have been made.
To my little Acorns who have not yet returned to school, know that I miss you all very much and cannot wait for September when our fun will continue. Keep using the home learning ideas on the class page and I will call soon to see how you’re all doing.
