Hawthorn Class Have a Scavenger Hunt!
Another great week of learning for Hawthorn Class!
In Maths, the children have been investigating number patterns using their knowledge of place value. They have also demonstrated their understanding of rounding numbers to the nearest 10,000 and 100,000.
In English, the children have continued focussing on the story of King Kong. We read a similar narrative about a Triceratops and discussed the similarities and differences between the two. They then used different elements of figurative language to describe the dangerous setting of Skull Island.
This week, pupils in Hawthorn Class took part in a live scavenger hunt, where they had to find lots of (very random) items from around their house! We are really enjoying staying connected with each other through our weekly video call.
Keep being brilliant Year 5!
