A great week of learning in Year 5!
In English, this week we have been practising different language techniques and creating a bank of words, phrases and sentences to use in our survival narratives.
In Maths, this week we have continued with fractions. The children have mastered the art of adding, subtracting and now multiplying fractions. Wow!
This week, Hawthorn Class learnt about water resistance in science and tested the effects by racing boats across a water tray. Hawthorn Class have also quite literally, dived head first, into their new swimming lessons, which began on Thursday afternoon. They were great!
Year 5 finished the week by creating a human ‘100’ to remember Captain Sir Tom Moore, on what would’ve been his 101st birthday.
