A great week for Hawthorn Class!
In Maths, we have started to use our knowledge of place value, to compare and order numbers up to a million!
In English, we have explored our vehicle text – Henry’s Freedom Box – in greater depth. We have also started to think about how to use ‘show not tell’s’ to tell the reader how the character feels without actually saying it.
In topic, Hawthorn Class enjoyed learning about the first ever railway locomotive in 1804. We investigated different pieces of evidence, which gave us information about Richard Trevithick’s invention.
