This week sycamore class have enjoyed outdoor learning (despite some showers in the forecast). The children have loved being in the outdoors and using the scientific enquiry skills. During Science, Sycamore explored and inspected the school grounds for invertebrates. This learning activity is part of this term’s topic: Living things and their habitats. The children had to consider how they would classify and group this information.
In maths this week we have been focusing on graphs. We compared different types of graphs and considered their uses. The children answers questions about the graphs focusing on the data. Towards the end of the week the children focused on starting to draw line graphs to compare data over time.
In English the children have been composing their guided/shared write as a class based on our refugee narrative ‘The journey’. The children have started their plans for their own refugee narrative especially focusing on personification, variation of sentence lengths to build tension and using effective vocabulary.
Well done Sycamore!
