Irish dancing, Paradise Planet and Art week!
What an exciting week for Sycamore class!
Earlier on in the week, we had an Irish dancing, music and story telling session! The children got to put together their own Irish dance with a professional!
We also had a visit from Paradise Planet Opera! A children’s opera educating children on the importance of the life in our oceans and how to preserve it! Some really important messages delivered in such an exciting way! The children loved joining in and singing the songs they had learnt before their visit.
It has also been Art week this week, so we have been focusing on the drawing of flowers following a famous historical artist.
In Maths, we have started our new topic of decimal equivalents of any fraction of tenths and hundredths. The children have been working with counters to help them with this.
In English, they have innovated, redrafted and improve their recounts of our Belfast trip.
Have a lovely weekend!
Miss Burke and Mr McKenzie Owens.
