Life is a wonderful thing for Maple!
What a cracking week to end the Spring term!
This week we have discovered the results of our plant science experiments. We wanted to know if sweet peas could grow without soil – turns out they can! Let’s see how they’re doing after the Easter holiday! The narcissus bulbs have started to form roots. Again, we are hoping they have started to grow shoots by the end of the holiday.
We had a second experiment to see whether seeds would grow without light and without water. The results were interesting and we compared the plants to each other to see which had grown the best, showing us what conditions plants grow best in.
To finish off the week the children did an amazing performance of ‘Life is a Wonderful Thing’ for the Easter performance. It was truly fantastic and Mrs Jones and I couldn’t be prouder of the whole class for learning the actions and the words and performing to their best.
Have a wonderful Easter break with lots of fun and family time.
