Long jumping in Maths for Sycamore class!

Dear parents,

An exciting week full of learning in Sycamore class!

In Maths, we have been converting different units of measure, including centimetres into metres. We did some jumping olympic style to measure how far we could jump in metres, and converted this into centimetres.

Later on in the week, we were learning how to find the area and perimeter of shapes. The children did some practical activities to help them with their learning.

In English, we have been innovating our own persuasion texts. The children got into role as an estate agent trying to sell a visit to Incredible India using lots of persuasive language and expanded noun phrases.

In RE, we have been learning about the five pillars of Islam and the children acted out some of the pillars to help them understand.

Have a lovely weekend.

Miss Burke and Miss Arms.
