In English, we have been focussing on different aspects of a newspaper report. We have looked at how to hook the reader in with word play and alliteration and have investigated how to include direct and reported speech in our articles.
In Maths, we have begun investigating decimals. The children have been their knowledge of fractions to understand the place value of decimal numbers.
Hawthorn Class are enjoying exploring their current topic, comparing Cheshire with Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes. As part of geography week, the children had a map skills session, in which they learnt how to read 4 and 6 figure grid references.
