To start the week Maple class have had their first Forest Schools session with Chris. They had an absolute blast making a name badge, using a drill and exploring the wildlife area that they will be using for Forest Schools!
In RE we have explored the story of Jesus being lost in a temple as a young boy. The children really got into role as the different characters in the story and really thought about the different emotions they would be feeling.
In English we have started a new story called Traction Man is here! It is about an action man style doll and all the adventures he gets up to. We have been learning the story this week and the children did some great retellings in groups – complete with actions!
Oak class started a beautiful memorial display for the Centenary of World War I and the children in Maple had added to that by watercolour painting some poppies in various shades of red and arranging them around the display. They have done a beautiful job and it really adds to the effect of the display.
Have a great weekend!
