Maple’s trip to the World Museum Liverpool!
This week Maple visited the World Museum in Liverpool!
We have been learning about underwater creatures as our focus book this half term is The Secret of Black Rock! In class, we have learnt about coral, seaweed, angel fish, jelly fish, crabs, star fish and sea anemones! We were all so excited to see these creatures in real life!
At the museum, we learnt about how many sea creatures react to tidal movements and how they move through the sea to stay alive! We learnt some amazing facts! Did you know that starfish have eyes on the end of each ‘arm’? Maple class were very well behaved and were given the chance to touch a star fish, sea anemone and a crab! They were very careful and calm.
We later explored the various floors of the museum, where we saw a variety of insects, fish and even huge dinosaurs!
We had a fantastic day and we are looking forward to learning even more about sea creatures!
