Morse Code Messages!

Hawthorn Class have started the new term with great enthusiasm, I am pleased to see so many of you engaging with your online learning – keep the brilliant photos coming in!

In Maths, the children have continued their unit of work on measurement, investigating how to convert between different units of time. They have been successfully applying their knowledge of multiplication and division to help them!

In English, the children have begun to explore a new vehicle text ‘The Lost Book of Adventures’ – we will use this text throughout the term as inspiration for creating a survival narrative and a survival guide. The children enjoyed making their predictions about what the story could be about based on a series of clues!

We have also begun a new topic – The Battle of Britain – in which the children will explore how this event was a key turning point in WW2. As part of their home learning activities, pupils have been exploring food rationing during the war and creating morse code messages for their family members.
