New Year, New Challenges

Welcome back! We have had an amazing start to the year, in English, we have begun looking at human rights and thinking about how important these are. We have focused on the words equality and freedom; this has allowed us to investigate our opinions and differences of what those words mean to us.

In Maths we have been focusing on finding the volume of 3D shapes. We have also looked at angles on a straight line and within triangles. Finding missing angles proved more difficult than we bargained for especially when we looked at isosceles triangles. Did you know they have two equal angles?

We have begun our topic of Africa. This week we looked at all the African countries and labelled them all. We found where the desert areas were, where the rainforests were and even labelled the highest mountain and the longest river. In SEAL we have been looking at our feelings and how they are shown in our everyday actions.

We are looking forward to learning more about the varied continent that is Africa.
