Our First full week of fun!
Well done to our children (and their families!) On a very successful first full week in Little Acorns.
Mrs Ogden, Mrs Owen and Mrs Eddelston are so proud of the way that you have all grown in confidence and independence already – you really are super stars.
We continued to spend lots of time exploring the environment and getting to know each other this week, spending lots of time both indoors and outdoors.
We’ve had lots of beautiful bright paintings and drawings created and some magnificent music and sounds made using drums, chime bars and other percussion instruments.
Some excellent turn taking and listening skills were demonstrated in the outdoor area while playing ‘ready, steady, go’ games using the water pipes.
Many of the children have shown a particular interest in dinosaurs this week and have also been great fans of our homely role play area and showing care for dolls and babies. As these resources have been so popular with the children we will use these interests as the basis of our planning next week along with plenty of other child led activities and games, containing to follow the children’s interests throughout the week.
We will also be focusing on our rhyme of the week which will be Twinkle, Twinkle little star – So, why not have a go at practicing the rhyme with your little one over the weekend.
Our book of the week will be ‘That’s Not My Dinosaur’
A big thank you to all our Little Acorn families for all of your support in making this week such a successful one. I look forward to continuing to working alongside you to ensure the very best experience at Little Acorns for your child.
Have a wonderful weekend.
