Railway Poetry

Last week, pupils in Hawthorn Class took great pride in performing their learning showcase. They recited a poem called ‘From a Railway Carriage’ by Robert Stevenson – a poem that discusses the mixed emotions people felt at the time when the railways were first created.

In English, the children have produced their own biographies on a significant individual of their choice – they had to research this person and present the information in chronological order.

In Maths, we have been investigating prime numbers, square numbers and cube numbers, before moving onto multiplication and division after half term.
