Roman’s are afoot!
This week, Sycamore class visited Chester to find out more about the Romans. We had a fantastic day out being part of a Roman legion and marching through the streets of Chester. We learnt how to walk in formation and protect ourselves from the enemy. We also had the opportunity to experience the sights and smells of a typical Roman town. We even become archeologists and dug up coins, pottery and bones!
In English, we are starting to become much more familiar with our newspaper reports and children have also been looking at newspaper articles as part of their homework. In Maths, we have moved onto addition and subtraction. We are looking at both mental and written methods, increasing our confidence using them and becoming more fluent.
