Santa’s on Strike!
What a busy week for Maple class! The final week before the holidays has ended and despite the busy time we have managed to pack lots in. On Tuesday Maple and Cedar performed wonderfully in the Christmas Play – Santa’s on Strike. Well done everyone!
Maple Class have worked super hard in English this week as we began to complete our instructional writing. We did lots of retelling of ‘How to look after a friendly Diplodocus’, girls vs boys and it was clear the children knew the text well.
The children began innovating the text and produced some wonderful instructions ranging from How to look after a pet monkey to show to look after T-Rex!
In maths we solved word problems on division and multiplication and will continue this next term.
In the afternoons we began finishing off our clay decorations but sadly some pieces fell apart, we will try to stick them back together and finish painting them next week.
Maple class had the opportunity to watch KS2 Christmas play rehearsals which got us into the Christmas mood!
Next week will be our Christmas party and our Church service before we break up on Tuesday at 12pm. Maple class have worked incredibly hard this term and we’ve had lots of fun, keep it up
