Sensational, seasonal salad.
Sycamore have had a really busy week. We have had a food seasonality workshop and learnt about where food comes from and how we can use packaging to find out. The children then looked at maps to find the countries an array of food had come from and the amount of miles it would have travelled to get to the UK. The children then used a selection of fresh fruit and vegetables to make their salad. They used a range of techniques such as cutting, peeling, spiralizing and chopping. They then used measuring spoons to make a fresh dressing to go with it.
In Science, the children have been exploring sound and were given a task to sound proof a cardboard box. The material we found to be the best was bubble wrap. The children were very enthusiastic and great team players.
