This week Sycamore class have been demonstrating brilliant skills in their PE lessons. The children have been focusing on the different types of passes in Netball and trialling these in a game situation. The children really thought about the positioning of their bodies and the direction that they wanted the netball to go on!
Sycamore class have also experienced circle time this week allowing the children time to take a step back and consider other elements to school life. The children took park in a mindfulness activity with malteasers. The challenge was to keep the chocolate in their mouths for more than 5 seconds with their eyes closed! The children had an opportunity to think about small details.
In English this week as a class we have been writing a shared “Outsider” narrative based on the story “Leaf”. The children have really challenged themselves to use a range of vocabulary and fronted adverbials in their sentences.
In maths this week the children have been looking at graphs and fractions. The children challenged themselves with learning new vocabulary surrounding these key areas.
