This week in English, Hawthorn class have put in lots of effort to write a range of interesting character descriptions. We collected fantastic vocabulary to describe the appearance and personality of our characters and show how others react to them. All of the children have really considered how their choice of language will create an image inside the reader’s mind!

In maths this week, Hawthorn Class have been exploring angles. They identified different types of angles before beginning to measure and compare a range of angles.

In topic this week, Hawthorn Class explored what it was like to be a child during WW2. We looked at why children were evacuated during the Blitz and discovered why it was much safer to live in the countryside at this time.

In art, we tried to capture what London was like during this time with a Blitz silhouette skyline. Using warm colours to represent the explosive, fiery sky during an air raid.
