Smiles, stories and… static!
Sycamore class have had a fantastic week filled with lots of exciting learning experiences. The children have shown great enthusiasm and determination towards their work.
In English this week the children completed their myth narrative stories based on Arthur and the golden rope. The children really considered their impact on the reader through the use of the vocabulary and structure.
In maths this week we have been learning all about tenths and hundredths as decimals, fractions and percentages. We had lots of opportunities this week to use the counters and place value frames to see the changes in value.
In topic this week the children in Sycamore class were very lucky to have a virtual visit from a local Winsford resident who has lived in Winsford for his whole life! The children were enthused to learn about how Winsford has changed over time! The class were especially interested to hear that our guest used to visit the local pie shop to get a jug of gravy!
In science this week the children have continued to explore electricity. The children explored different circuits with Mrs Leader.
Well done for a fantastic week Sycamore!
