We have had a very active week during Healthy School’s week in Maple Class!
On Monday we took part in the active walk around the school grounds
ON Wednesday some children took part in the football tournament against other schools in the area.
On Thursday some children went to cross-country and competed against a different group of schools.
During both sporting events the children have represented the school and themselves really well and tried their best
We have also been taking part in several active challenges. Children could choose from eating 5 a day, drinking more, being more active or eating breakfast everyday. The children have really enjoyed this challenge and I hope that the changes they have made will continue to become good, healthy habits.
Mr Rimmer will announce the winner of the challenges next week so fingers crossed!
In maths we are working on some tricky 2-digit addition and the children are really rising to the challenge and we made it even harder today by asking them to add two 2-digit numbers. They blew us all away with their maths skills and their determination!
Well done Maple!
In English we have started our information text about the Storm Unicorn. The explorer who discovered them visited us today but he was too shy for a photo. However the children wrote some very original and relevant questions to ask using question marks and thinking about things they didn’t already know about the storm unicorn.
Have a great weekend!
