Spring term 2
Little Acorns have have been exploring the various stages of block play; carrying, stacking, bridge building and enclosures. Block play is used to help children build their fine and gross motor skills, extend their ability to concentrate, whilst achieving a desired goal.
Little Acorns have started the new topic ‘Spring’. During science week they have been focusing on Understanding the World – their everyday understanding of the world they see around them. Taking part in practical and experimental play the children have been digging, planting and looking after seeds. The sun has been shining and it has been wonderful to see them engaged in sorting and investigating activities outside.
Thank you to all Little Acorn parents for sending their children looking so smart for the class photos. The children walked around the school beautifully and sat with big smiles. I can’t wait to see them.
