In English this week we have begun focusing our attention on a Bravery Award speech. We kicked off this topic by watching past pride of Britain awards. We learnt about Polish nurse, Irena Sendler, who smuggled 2500 children from a Ghetto in Warsaw. We have been inspired by her bravery and courage and have been searching for synonyms of these words.
In Maths, we have been continuing with long division and have been able to use the formal method of dividing. However, most of us preferred to use the chunking method. We have used this method and applied it to a range of word problems (some of the extremely complex).
In science we were asked by the British confectioner’s association to sort and classify a range of sweets. We had an amazing time and managed to classify them even giving them latin names. Smarties = Chocus Shellus.
