This week in Hawthorn, we have loved continuing our Forest School sessions. The children were given goggles and had to guide each other around the wildlife area, in the absence of sight, they had to work as a team and rely on their other senses to navigate their way!
The children have been developing their addition and subtraction skills in Maths this week. We have been learning lots of different methods of calculation so that they have a range of strategies to successfully tackle any number problem they are faced with.
In English, we have had enjoyed learning all about the life of the incredible Martin Luther King – in preparation for writing a biography. The children have worked very hard to understand some of the technical vocabulary within the model text and have been inspired by his story.
An excellent week for Hawthorn Class!
