Cedar class has blown me away this week with their perseverance when writing. They have been practising writing short sentences independently, using their ‘Fred Fingers’ (which we use in phonics) to segment words they are unsure how to spell. We found this really tricky at first, but with lots of practise the children are improving each and every day.
The children have also become more independent in Maths and have been working hard this week to order and sequence numbers, as well as discussing the meaning of words such as greater, less and fewer.
Well done Cedar for another fantastic week!
