Sycamore Computer Programming Wizards!
What a fun and busy week we’ve had this week in Sycamore class!
In Science, the children took part in an invertebrate hunt outside in our wildlife area! The children were looking for all different types of invertebrates, such as ants, woodlouse, snails and lots more! They had to identify the invertebrate, draw it, and then later write about all of its characteristics! They had lots of fun with this.
On our school trip to Techniquest this week, in the morning, the children were learning about all things Science in the discovery rooms!
Later on in the day, the children were using their computing and programming skills to program and build their own alligator! Once it was built, they were able to control the alligator via their computer – very clever indeed! The children were fantastic with this, and showed great team work skills. Both Mr McKenzie-Owens and I were very proud of how well they worked together.
The children behaved so well and certainly did our school very proud. Well done!
Have a lovely weekend.
Miss Burke, Mr Rimmer and Mr McKenzie-Owens.
