This week sycamore class have been looking at the trade routes between the Rainforests and the UK. We followed the journey of palm oil and discussed the different stages of the trade route. The children also arranged and acted out the different stages of palm oil.

In English this week we have been completing our unit on information reports. We had a big focus on fronted adverbials and the use of technical language. The children were challenged with matching the fronted adverbial to the correct phrase. This encouraged the children to read sentences aloud to check that they make sense and are suitable for the writing outcome.

Sycamore class have also partaken in a playground litter pick. This activity encouraged us to think about our impact on the environment. As a class, we looked at the different types of litter that had been found and talked about the dates. The class were shocked at how long different types of packaging took to disintegrate.

Wow! What a busy final week for Sycamore class. This half term the class have settled back into the school routines well and have all been working incredibly hard.
