Sycamore’s super week six!
An action packed, fun filled week of learning this week in Sycamore class!
In English, we have been learning a new text – a newspaper report about the big bad wolf. We have had real fun with this. The children dressed up as reporters, using a wig and microphone as props!
They have also used the microphone to take part in a hot seating task, getting into role as one of the characters from the report. They then produced some fantastic diary entries as a result of this. Their choice of vocabulary is progressing so much, I was truly ‘wowed’ when I read their work!
In Science, we have been creating our own classification keys using what we know about animals and their characteristics.
In Music, we have had a great time learning our ABBA song and experimenting with lots of different instruments! We performed as a class, and Mrs Alford even popped for a little while to watch us!
Have a fabulous weekend!
Miss Burke, Mr Rimmer, Mr McKenzie-Owens and Miss Tench.
