The Winsford and Over Mayor visits Maple
The Salt Fair was held from last Thursday to Sunday. This is an important historic event for the town so we asked Mayor Gina Lewis to talk to us about the event. She told us some fascinating stories about some of the familiar landmarks on Delamere Street and some were gruesome too!
In music we have started to learn our song Hands, Feet and Heart and the children are fantastic already! Can’t wait for them to perform it to you!
In RE we looked at our own special books and the children brought them in to school. It was lovely to see such a range of books and Lexi brought in her family Bible which was published in 1835 – almost 200 years ago!
In English we have been thinking of expanded noun phrases to describe characters that we created and used them in a list as well. The children have got some very creative ideas!
Looking forwards to next week!
