‘The Three Little Groups’ by Cedar Class
Once upon a time there were three little groups who lived in Cedar Class. One day their teacher said “go and build your own houses”, so of they went. The first little group built their house of straw:
“That’s not strong enough,” said the second little group, so, the second little group built their house of sticks:
“That’s not strong enough,” said the third little group, so, the third little group built their house of bricks:
One sunny afternoon the Big bad Wolf appeared and shouted “Little Groups, Little Groups let me in”. “Not by the hairs on our chinny chin chins we will not let you in.” The wolf growled, “then I will huff and I will puff and I will blow your houses down!”… And he did! The children chased him away and defeated the villain so that he never returned again!
What a fun week Cedar Class have had! They have thrown themselves into the story of ‘The Three Little Pigs’ and produced some fantastic writing including ‘Wanted’ posters, questions for the wolf when he was in jail and writing up their innovated stories.
In maths we have been focusing on our number work; one more and one less and number bonds to 10.
It was lovely to see our parents at parents evening this week. If anyone couldn’t attend then please feel free to come and speak to us at another time.
