Times tables trail
Sycamore class have enjoyed a fun filled week this week. We were very lucky to have a visit from the local PCSO who spoke to our class about staying safe online and promoting the importance of being cautious online. The class had lots of questions and listened attentively to PCSO Ben.
In PSHE we did some first aid training around Asthma. The children followed the steps and acted these out to show their understanding of the actions required in the event of someone having an asthma attack.
In English this week the children completed the guided section of writing a myth instruction guide. The children challenged themselves to use formal language and technical vocabulary.
In maths this week we have been recapping subtracting and adding fractions. We explored lots of different techniques such as bar modelling, part-part-whole models and the abstract form of the calculations.
On Thursday the children enjoyed activities centred around Easter but also linked to the year 4 curriculum. The children were very excited to find times tables featured on eggs hidden around the playground. The children demonstrated team work and determination. Well done Sycamore class. We look forward to seeing you all again after the Easter Holidays!
