Unicorn Hunting in Maple!
We have had a fun filled week in Maple Class!
On Monday we enjoyed treasure hunt games in PE with Mr Rimmer and practiced catching and throwing with James in PE on Tuesday.
In maths we have been practising column addition and the children have been doing a fantastic job! The presentation in their maths books in becoming excellent too!
In topic we have created booklets about the continents and had to find facts around the classroom to complete them. Ask your child to sing the continents song to you!
In English we have been looking for the Storm Unicorn!
We were in the middle of an English lesson when Mrs Coe thought she saw it outside so we all went and ha a look for it. We found loads of clues that the Storm Unicorn had been to school and have kept a keen eye out ever since!
We realised that the Storm Unicorn must be endangered because sightings of it are so rare and today the children wrote some FANTASTIC persuasive leaflets to get people to join their cause of saving the Storm Unicorn from extinction.
Please make sure you read with your child daily to increase their fluency and understanding of different words.
Have a great weekend!
